Botox and Injectable Fillers

Non-Surgical Facial & Skin Rejuvenation

A healthy appearance begins with great skin. Quality medical grade skin care products and cosmeceuticals are like preventative maintenance for your face. Often working in concert with one another, the following treatments can maintain youthful complexion longer, and help you minimize visible signs of aging.

Injectable Wrinkle Treatments

Botox can treat or prevent the formation or progression of both dynamic and static wrinkles. By temporarily inactivating the muscles that cause wrinkles, the lines disappear or diminish dramatically. Botox treatment is quick, typically requiring just 10 – 15 minutes in our Fairfax plastic surgery office.

Dysport is an injectable product commonly called a neuromuscular wrinkle blocker or acetylcholine release inhibitor. It blocks the nerve impulses that cause your facial muscles to contract and form lines.

Juvederm a wrinkle filler made with a high concentration of hyaluronic acid gel. It is a smooth gel filler, used for contouring and volumizing depressions and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds, forehead wrinkles, cheeks and nasal furrows and is an ideal option to plump thin lips.

Radiesse is made out of smooth calcium hydoxylapatite microspheres in a water based gel. When injected, the microspheres in Radiesse create a scaffolding effect on which your own body’s collagen grows, producing a long-lasting correction of wrinkles and folds.

Restylane & Perlane

Restylane is a popular wrinkle filler made of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA). Hyaluronic acid exists in the human body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane is FDA approved to correct a variety of facial wrinkles and folds.

The newest wrinkle treatment on the market, Xeomin uses a botulinum type A neuroxin to treat dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines or crow’s feet. Safe for all skin types, Xeomin offers many patients a great alternative to Botox.

Professional Skin Care Treatments

Vi Peel

The Vi Peel® is a chemical peel that is effective for treatment of unwanted pigment changes caused by acne scarring and photodamage. We often recommend this peel for patients with age spots, freckles, melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It can tighten your pores, improve skin texture, and smooth out uneven complexions.

Latisse is applied to the base of the lashes on the upper eyelid. By keeping hairs in their growth phase, Latisse produces darker, thicker and longer eyelashes. The effects of Latisse appear after a few weeks but they are not permanent. Patients must continue using it or the eyelashes gradually return to their original state.
