Xeomin® Wrinkle Treatment
You can call them smile lines, laugh lines or crow’s feet — but they’re all still wrinkles.
To get rid of wrinkles, one of the treatments we prefer is Xeomin®, an injectable treatment that can be used to soften wrinkles caused by overactive muscles of expression. Xeomin contains botulinum toxin type A, which is also the active ingredient in Botox® Cosmetic.
Xeomin is safe and effective to use on all skin types. We can help you determine if Xeomin is the right treatment or if another injectable product would serve you better.
How much does Xeomin cost?
At our office, Xeomin is priced at $9/unit.
When will I see results?
Final results will appear gradually over three to five days.
How long does Xeomin last?
Results typically last a few months, with many patients finding that their follow-up injections last even longer. Don’t forget to wear sunglasses and sunscreen on a daily basis!
How long does a Xeomin treatment take?
A Xeomin treatment can be completed in minutes. Most patients are in and out of our office in less than an hour.
Do Xeomin injections hurt?
Xeomin injections are administered using an ultra-fine needle. If necessary, we can apply a topical numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. Most patients find the small injection stings easy to tolerate without the topical anesthetic. An icepack may be placed on the treated sites to minimize your risk of swelling.
Is there any downtime with Xeomin?
Xeomin is an outpatient procedure that requires no downtime. You’ll be able to resume your normal activities immediately. Follow all post-treatment instructions provided by our staff. Know that injection sites may be slightly sore or sensitive, so you should avoid direct sun exposure for a few days.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Risks associated with Xeomin are minimal. The most common side effects include mild swelling, bruising or pain at the injection site. Other side effects may include flu-like symptoms, nausea and eyelid droop. We will discuss these risks with you in-depth during your consultation.
