    This was a very difficult case in terms of planning.  Ideally I would have loved to have done an umbilical float tummy tuck.  However, although she didn't have a pannus (fat and skin that hangs below the belly button) below her belly button she had a significant amount of skin laxity or elasticity.  In addition her belly button was not in a favorable position.  So I performed aggressive liposuction of her flanks an abdomen along with a standard tummy tuck.  These pictures are VERY EARLY in her post operative course but you can already see a dramatic improvement in her contour.  Although I can tighten the diastasis and fascial weakness, if the muscles are weak a bulge can still occur.  Her scar will disappear over the next nine months.
