    This lovely patient underwent a breast augmentation with saline implants many years ago.  She did not know the volumes of the implants and the left implant had ruptured some time in the past.  Finally, she desired to have larger, silicone gel implants.  In these cases I usually reverse fill the remaining implant so that I know what volume I am starting with.  However, she refused to have this done.  I usually recommend an implant at least 100cc larger in order to make a significant difference.  I took over 10 pairs of implants to the operating room.  The implants I removed were 325cc.  They were replaced with 450cc silicone gel implants.  The patient was very happy with the result.  This is why it is imperative that patients keep the implant information that is given to them after their augmentation.
