Two Easy Steps for a Better Surgery Consultation With Dr. Hess
Closed Published by newseditor November 18th, 2009 in UncategorizedIn some ways, it’s like a job interview; the plastic surgery consultation represents
an opportunity to develop a relationship and accomplish something great. Similarly, there are better and worse ways to conduct yourself.
Follow these two steps to ensure that your consultation with Dr. Hess is as productive as it should be.
1. Be Prepared: bring questions and know your goals
Surgery consultations offer the perfect opportunity for you to get specific information that may be difficult or impossible to track down online, so bring a list of questions that are particularly important for you.
Knowing what you want to achieve with plastic surgery also helps. Some patients know exactly what they want, while some are just curious. Either of these are fine, but knowing your goals (at least in a general sense) will go a long way.
2. Be open: share pertinent information and communicate well
Good communication is vital to our entire process. Feel free to use whatever tools you think are beneficial; whether that includes before & after photos or some other visual aid you find appealing.
Also, do not hide important information that may allow Dr. Hess to serve you more effectively. Information such as past medical history, past procedures, and your motivations to undergo surgery will fall into that category.
